Essay

In the dissertation for the first time in national historical and law science the complex historical investigation of judicial system and legal procedure evolution on Ukranian Lands of The Great Princedom of Lithuania from the point of view of judicial power formation is carried out. The investigated period is from the mid-dle of the XIV c. to the 60ths of the XVI c. The main steps of ju-ditial system and legal procedure evolution are analised, the con-nection between its evolution and development of state and social life of Luthanian-Russian state is established. The systematisa-tion and classification of the kinds of Courts according to the way the state power took part in their work and the principles of jurisdiction are made. The genesis, structure, functions and the place in the Judicial System of The Great Princedom of Lithuania of each kind of the courts are described. Scientific and practical importance of this paper is new knoledge about historical and le-gal process on Ukranian lands and thedetermination of the main tendentions of national legal traditions elaboration.
