In thesis was made the analysis of existing methods of methane content measurement, of devices and control systems of explosive mine workings. The reasons of ambiguous unstable operation of existing methane content control devices and the influence of uncontrolled components and mine atmosphere parameters on their operation are researched. New and more improved methods of control, which prevent the possibility of ambiguous change of methane concentration in mine workings, are based on facts. The explosion-proof control devices, which increase the control probability and efficiency and provide the ambiguity operation of alarm and protection devices, are developed. The results of work were applied at NVO "Chervony metalist" during the development of transducers for unambiguous methane indicators and detectors, that allowed to increase the level of explosion protection of mine workings and to widen the field of application of methane control devices
