Essay

Semiconductor and metal plasma under passage of fast hydrogen and helium ions. The purpose is reveal of features of electron distribution formation. The technique is analysis of the energy spectra of secondary ion induced electron emission. For the first time the nonequilibrium distributions of electrons in the plasma of some semiconductors were experimentally studied. The mechanisms of energy dissipation of fast ion in metal plasma were investigated and role of plasmon excitation in the electron distribution formation was ascertained. The model of binary cell was investigated. The results can be used for development of radioisotope electricity sources .
