Essay

Thesis is devoted to study of physiological particularities of cultivated and natural forms of bird's foot-trefoil (Lotus corniculatus L.). The physiological bases of cultivated particularities of growth and development, resistance to environmental stress factors in conditions of Trancarpathian region of Ukraine. The change in content of biologically active substances in green mass of bird's foots-trefoil was estimated. This allowed the estimation of phases of development of plants, which were most suitable for practical use. The particularities of biochemical plant content were estimated. The physiological and morphological properties (leaf number, protein content of cellular mass, dry substances and ascorbic acid) of bird's foot-trefoil cultivars depend from phases of plant ontogenesis and weather conditions of the year. Simultaneous treatment with phosphorus and potassium manures induce the sugars total nitrogen and of proteins induce and sugars, accumulation in root crowns, decrease of young fall-off plants and increases the bird's foot-trefoil resistance to harsh wintering conditions.
