Essay

Thesis is devoted to development of calculation procedure for determination of strength, rigidity and crack-resistance of the bending reinforced concrete elements under long-term action of loading and further additional loading up to failure on the basis of the real concrete strain diagrams. The experimental investigations of long-term loading impact on the concrete strain diagram parameters of both under short-term compression and under long-term loading action; the investigations of long-term loading action on behavior of the bending reinforced concrete elements were performed. The design relations for determi-nation of the concrete strain diagram parameters were developed and on their basis those for assessment of stress-strain state of the bending reinforced concrete elements and for determination of their strength, rigidity and crack-resistance were worked out as well. A calculation algorithm was developed. An evaluation of the calculation procedure accuracy was performed and an example of calculation is pro-vided. The results were used for analysis of the damaged framework elements of the Chernobyl NPP 4th power unit deaerator stack.
