Essay

Object - osteosynthesis in experimental and clinical conditions, implants of carbon carbon composite material; methods - conceptual modeling of osteosynthesis for long bones fractures in elderly patients; mathematical modeling by the method of final elements for the methods of joining of bone fragments using different devices and techniques; biomechanical investigation of the solidity of bone fragments joining on the different models of osteosynthesis; electrochemical investigation of carbon composite material, that was used for implant production, and some standard metal fixators. Іnformatic model of osteosynthesis for shaft fractures of long bones in elderly patients was worked out. "Biological inertness" and the possibility of using of combinations of carbon and titanous implants in clinical conditions were proved experimentally. Necessary parameters of fixator firmness with taking into consideration the firmness of intact bone were calculated mathematically at first time. New implants and techniqueof osteosynthesis were worked out; original combined fixator, made of carbon composite material, for the osteosynthesis of shaft fractures of long bones was proposed at first time. The results of investigation were introduced in clinical practice of the department of emergency traumatology and reconstructive surgery in Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology AMSU.
