Essay

The thesis is devoted to the solution of a scientific task consisting to extend the concept of the main processes that occurs at an interaction of argon ions beam with surfaces of metals and their chemical compounds and that are in the base of methods of modification of solids and the elemental spectral analysis using the charged particles beam. On the basis of the obtained experimental results the conception of mechanisms, which result in flying away of particles, in different the excitation states has been extended. In particular, for the metals and their compounds studied in oxygen atmosphere, the additional, as compared with clean metal, mechanism of formation of the excited particles, associated with break of chemical bonds has been revealed.
