Object: the oxidativ stress in blood cells and its precursors in bone marrow at streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus in rats and injection of nicotinamide; methods: biochemical, cytologycal, statistics; results - increase dienes conjugates as compared with the background, reduction superoxide dismutase activity and catalase activation in all studied cells. The increase of reduced glutathione content and glutathione reductase activity in bone marrow cells was observed. Injections of nicotinamide normalize these parameters, except superoxide dismutase activity, enhanced raised glutathione content in haemopoietic tissue and glutathione reductase activity in erythroid precursor cells; news - the activation of nitrite reductase link of nitric oxide cycle by deoxyhemoglobin at streptozotocin- induced diabetes mellitus. Injections of nicotinamide suppress this activity, prevent formation of S-nitrosothiol hemoglobin derivatives during it nitrosylation in vitro and also stimulate erythropoiesis at streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus in rats; introductin; in Lviv national university; branch - biology.
