Bortnik V. The criminal law protection of human honour and dignity.

The dissertation represents complex research of problems in the sphere of the criminal law protection of human honour and dignity, and reveals the history of formation and peculiarity of legal protection of human honour and dignity. Basing on the newest theoretical-legal achievements and domestic criminal law practice and requirements of the Constitution of Ukraine and the European Community, the author proves the necessity of a recognition of human honour and dignity as the highest social value, and the performance of the protection of imprescriptible human rights at an appropriate legislative level. As a starting point in formation of the new legislation which strengthens the criminal liability for an encroachment in human honour and dignity, the author puts forward specific proposals to perfect Criminal code of Ukraine, which is currently in force.
