Essay

There are the laid out results of researches in work, optimizations of selection process in population of black-and-white and redder-pock-marked milk cattle of the Kiev region are devoted. It is set that the actual selection of black-and-white cattle provided annual genetic progress after a yield at level 16,5 kg of milk in a year, or on 0,61%, and in population of redder-pock-marked cattle this index made 10,4 kg of milk accordingly, or 0,22%. Optimization of the programs of selection enables to promote genetic progress after a yield in population of black-and-white cattle of to 73,9 kg, and redder-pock-marked - 37,2 kg.
