The dissertation investigates the bank systems of developed countries and countries with transition economy in condition of financial globalization. Organizational structure, monetary policy and instruments were analyzed. The structural and functional aspects of modern bank systems were explored. The sources of Ukrainian bank system development are proposed. The arrangements for increase of capitalization of ukrainian bank system are determined. The possibility of foreign banking capital penetration into banking sector of Ukraine is investigated.
