Essay

The thesis is dedicated to solving problems of increasing the technological and economical efficiency of harvesting the nongrain part of yield of grain crops by the way of development of a rational technology of combining. This technology includes formation and unloading of big stacks by mass 1800-2500 kg by a trailer-stacker ПКБ-60 (PKB-60) without stops of a harvesting team. The use of this trailer as is stacker is effective only on condition that a self-loading stack-mover moves stacks out of a field. The stack-mover allows removing stacks from several combines in proper time reducing expenditure of labour, costs and fuel consumption connected with the harvest of grain crops on the whole. To develop such stack-mover, scientific researches and research and development work were carried out. As a result, a design-and-technology scheme of a stack-mover, which includes a body and forked working heads for grasping a stack, was worked out; its main design-and-technology parameters were substantiated theoretically and verified by experiment. Field tests of processes performed with the use of this self-loading stack-mover proved the high effectiveness of this straw harvester.
