Hlaholyuk V. Ukrainian press in Pokuttia as a source of research on social and political life on this territory in the 20-30-ies, XX c.

In the thesis there is a complex research on Ukrainian press in Pokuttia at the interwar period that is regarded as an important historical study resource of the Ukrainian people's social and political life on this territory at the period of Polish domination. The scientific research on the materials of different genres published in the mass media enriches the present idea of difficult processed of the Pokuttia people' social and political life, creation of Ukrainian public movements and political parties, of the Polish authority's attitude to the national press, of its most prominent creators. It is defined the press' role in the creation of Ukrainian national consciousness, a unity of people's groups concerning the idea of an independent state creation, in affirmation of the state-forming ideas.
