Essay

Object: piezoactive structures with the developed surface and low field electron emission. Aim: establishing basic principles of physical-chemical processes of formation of piezoactive oxide and chalcogenide structures, studding their cathodoluminescence and emission properties, creating physical models which take in account quantum-sized effects. Methods: atomic force and electron microscopy, differential-thermal analysis, Auger electron spectroscopy, autoelectron Muller projectors. Emission and cathodoluminescence properties of films of solid solutions Zn1-хCdхS (0<х<1) and ZnO were studied. Interaction character of components in ZnCl2-ZnО system at zinc oxide loading 0-25 mol % was investigated. It is stated that ZnO films, which are obtained by pyrolisis of airsols of water ZnCl2 solution, have developed nanostructure surface. Bulk quantum-sized crystals ZnO were synthesized and their field electron emission was studied. The model of low field electron emission was proposed. This model gives opportunity to explain experimental results.
