Essay

Vitamin В1 and other salts of thiazolium. An establishment of properties and studying of laws of transformations of vitamin В1 and its structural thiazolium analogues in modelling chemical and biochemical systems. Chemical kinetics, EPR- and PMR-SPECTROSCOPY, a spectrophotometric analysis, organic synthesis, HPLC. Binding of spin-labeled organic cations to the micelles revealed by increase of apparent rotational correlation time depends on the nature of the micelle, hydrophobisity of substituent in position 5 of thiazolium cycle, temperature and pH of solution. The model of participation of exocyclic amino group in the mechanism of ring-opening of benzothiazolium ion was proposed. It was established that cyclic photophosphorylation in isolated pea chloroplasts is effectively inhibited by 3-benzyl-4-methyl-5-(2-acyloxyethyl)thiazolium salts.
