Essay

The object is the English-language advertising discourse. The purpose is the defermining of the communicative and functional typology and linguistic features of the advertising discourse peuliarities. The novelty of the work is in the choice of the investigation's theoretical aspect (in defermining the conceptual typology of the English-language advertising discourse in terms of the communicative linguistics, the text linguistics, discourse linguistics) in the choise of the language material of the object's investigation. The practical meaning is in the opportunity to use the materials of investigation when making up and teaching the special courses in the genre context of the advertising discourse, while delivering theoretical course in discourse linguistics, marketing, the advertising science and so on, in the practise of formation and marking up the quality of the advertising texts.
