Object - social relations in the sphere of militia organization and activity and legal acts which regulate them; purpose - to analyze and sum up the normative and legal regulation of the militia organization and activity; to define the problems of the normative and legal of the militia organization and to formulate the recommendations as for their overcoming; methods - general scientific: historical and legal, comparative legal, logical legal, statistical, the system analysis, scientific generalization; concrete-sociological: documentary, supervision, interrogation, modeling, forecasting; novelty - one of the first complex monographic researches devoted to the analysis of the normative and legal regulation of the organization and activity of militia of Ukraine; results- materials of the dissertation can be used in scientific research, practical, legal creative and educational spheres.
