It has been research essence of legal ground of doings of custom departments in Ukraine, substantiated main instruments of garantes their protection, analyzed main points of growing up the system of custom departments from Ukraine's independence, illustrated author's criteria of main points of growing up the system of custom departments. The author of dissertation is determined possible ways of improvement of instruments of legal protection like procurer's control, asks of civilizations to custom departments. It has been formulated the concrete proposals according to the improvement the control inside departments, ways of legal protection, administrative questions of workers of custom departments. It has been formulated the concrete proposals according to the improvement concrete articles of Custom Codex from 11.07.2002.
