Essay

Pathogenesis and treatment of age-related cataract. To increase the effectivity of complex therapy of age-related cataract by stimulation of redoxed form of nicotinamideadeninedinucleotidephosphate in the lens, and organism formation. Biomicroscopy, Biochemical determination of metabolic indexes in the lens. The complex of ophthalmological examination of the patients. Studying the light scattering inside the eye on the Manual Straylight Meters, statistical methods. Firstly was established, that on the model of light cataract the level of glucose oxidation, formation of redoxed NADPh and level of redoxed glutathione in the lens decreased. In experimental conditions complex "Coensym Compositum" blocks the processes of cataractogenessis. Firstly revealed, that in the initial stages of age-related cataract the level of redox potential of nicotinamideadeninedinucleotidephosphate in the organism decreased. Firstly revealed that after treatment the patients with cataract by "Coensym Compositum" the progression of lens opacities becames slowly. Elaborated complex of treatment of age-related cataract by "Coensym Compositum" positive influence on the stabilization of lens opacities. The method was studied in the Filatov Institute, Ukrainian medical academy of stomotology, Odessa medical University. Area of using - medicine, ophthalmology.
