Essay

The subject of investigation is line width of backward parametric X-ray radiation. The theoretical investigation of multiple scattering effect of relativistic electrons taking into account the finite thickness of crystal on line width of backward parametric X-ray radiation when particles move at a small angle with respect to one of the crystallographic axes, is goal of the paper. The formulas describing both coherent and non-coherent scattering effect by the method of functional integration on line width of parametric X-ray radiation, have been derived. The splitting effect of parametric X-ray lines to several narrow lines caused by plane channeling of relativistic positrons, has been predicted.
