Essay

Dissertation is devoted to investigation of the role of calcium cytosolic concentration changes in the elicitation of two defense responses in L. esculentum - increasing of chitinase activity and callose accumulation. The presence of threshold range concentrations for [Ca2+]cyt for induction of both defense responses was discovered. At first, trigger range for calcium concentration changes was shown. This range limit callose accumulation, but do not block an increasing of chitinase activity in tomato cells.
