Essay

In the dissertation it is investigated М. Skoryk's works for violin. The main attention is given big scale cycles for a violin of the composer: five concerts and two sonatas. Historical sources of Skoryk's works for violin there are comprehended; taking into account socio-cultural environment of his becoming as creative person, the essence of individual treatment by the composer of genres a violin concert and a sonata is opened; subjective preconditions of occurrence of some his violin opuses are determined; through М. Skoryk's works for violin author's intentions as a category are defined; features of figurative concepts of the composer's cycles for violin are considered.
