The dissertation is devoted to theoretical problems of abduction category. The analysis of historical development of Ukrainian legislation about criminal responsibility for abduction is conducted. The research of abduction is carried out in three ways: 1) at level of concrete compound of crime; 2) at level of category of species; 3) at level of generic category (generic compound of crime).
