Essay

The results of study of the species composition and the biological characteristics of the horse parasitic nematodes of the order Strongylida under conditions of Ukraine are presented. The main abiotic and biotic factors which eliminate the strongylid larvae on pasture were determinated. The dynamics of the number of strongylid infection larvae in environment (pasture and stable) was investigated.The predacious fungi as the biological agents of the horse strongylid were studied. High efficacy of the Duddingtonia flagrans biopreparations against strongylid larvae was observed. The schemes of the integrated control of horse strongylids for the various types of horse farms of Ukraine were proposed.
