Essay

The single-stage synthesis of poly(epoxy acrylate)s by photochemically induced polymerization, the systems, epoxies/acrylate , was induced by tri(phenyl)-sulfonium exafluorophosphate. Kinetics of the photochemically induced reaction was studied. After switching-off the UV-irradiation of a mixture, the "dark" polymerization effect was observed. The structure and properties of the obtained polymers proved to depend on irradiation regime and inhibitors content. Physico-mechanical properties were shown to be controlled by their structure.
