Essay

The thesis deals with investigating the formation and evolution of the Southern orientation in the foreign policy of the Polish kingdom last quarter of the 15th - the beginning of the 16th centuries. The reasons and essence of the changes which causes the loss by Poland its positions in Black-sea region and then all over South-Eastern Europe have been shown. The state and results of the relation between Poland and the Osman empire, the Crimean khanate, Hungary, Danube princedoms in the context of Osman offensive in Black-sea Region are being examined. The forms and methods of realizing the foreign policy of Polish kingdom in South-Eastern Europe are being elucidated. The prerequisites of Poland's transition to solving the Black-sea problems by means of arms and its failure have been revealed. The process of diplomatic settlement of Polish-Osman relations at the beginning of the 16th century is being analyses.
