Essay

The research object - processes of phase and structure forming in vibrocast fired products from stabilized zirconia which make possible to increase thermal shock resistance; the research purpose - technology development and manufacture organization in Ukraine of vibrocast fired crucibles from stabilized ZrО2 for induction melting of platinum and it's alloys; methods - methods of phase composition and structure research of materials and samples: petrographical, X-ray and electron microscopy as well as standard methods of cold crushing strength, open porosity and appearent density determination, determination of thermal shock resistance by thermal cycling; theoretical and practical results - theoretical and practical principles of the manufacture of vibrocast fired products from stabilized ZrО2 with increased thermal shock resistance were developed; for the first time the technology of vibrocast fired products from zirconia stabilized separately with СаО, Y2O3 and MgO intended for the melting of platinumand it's alloys in conditions of a quick heating and cooling in induction furnances was developed; the novelty - an influence of different additives, of grain composition and a forming method of a green body on processes of the phase and structure forming in fired products from stabilized zirconia from a positions of thermal shock resistance was determined; the extent of application - developed technology is applicated to production in Ukraine on OJSC "UkrNIIO named after A.S. Berezhnoy" where the manufacture of vibrocast fired crucibles from stabilized zirconia is realized; the fild of application - crucibles for platinum and it's alloys melting in induction furnaces.
