Olena V. Descriptions of Novhorod-Severskiy vicegerency of the last quarter of the XVIII century: history of compiling and information potential.

The dissertation is devoted to the investigation of the descriptions of Novhorod-Siverskyi vicegerency. On the grounds of the historiographic analysis of the problem the main stages of studying this group of documents have been revealed, the further perspectives of their use have been determined. Having searched a large source base discovered in archives and for the first time partly introduced into scientific use, the circumstances that led to the compiling of the descriptions of Novhorod-Siverskyi vicegerency, the stages of their creation, and the attributive features of several documents of this type have been investigated. The archeographic characteristic and the information potential of ten different descriptions in fifteen copies have been carried out. As a result, it has been proved that the researched sources are rather representative and have considerable information possibilities which are worth using in scientific researches.
