Shapoval S. Stressed - deformed state and durability of brick - work under its local pressure

Objects are brickwork elements of walls of structures which work on the action of local comprassion. The purpose is to develop the methodology of brickwork strength calculations under the local compression on the base of accurate pattern of strain-deformed state with cosideration of SDS parametres discovered experimentally. The methods are represented by experimental, counting and analytical methods of SDS and bearing capacity of masonry evaluation. The novelty is represented by the recieved cxperimental data about SDS and bearing capacity of masonry. The parametres of SDS were evaluated with consideration of geometrical sizes of specimens, physical and mecnanical characteristics of material and the type of the load on the base of final elements method (FEM). The results are the following: - the methodology of brickwork elements strength calculation is developed; - the engineering method of masonry structures caculations under unknown geometrical parametres of the element is developed.
