Essay

Thesis is devoted to the problem of legionellosis in Ukraine: revelation of legionellas' circulation and their etiological significance in the human infectious patology on the territory of Ukraine, receiving of microbiological characteristics of regional strains, evaluation of efficacy of chemical and biotechnological desinfection to legionellosis prevention. Artificial and natural ecosystems legionella contamination was determined, Legionnaires' disease presence is proved on the territory of Ukraine. Microbiological characteristics of regional strains were determined. The dependency of legionella sorption on some characteristics of polymers' surface was shown. Method of evaluation of disinfecting substances' bactericide activity was developed for microorganisms, adsorbed on polymeric material, according to particularities of given substrate. In model conditions there was shown efficiency of biotechnological desinfection method use for legionella concentrations reducing in artificial water of recirculation type systems.
