The Ph.D. thesis analyzed theoretical and empirical experience of development of world derivative markets. Although derivatives have been used for centuries, they became one of the most important segments of the world economy only about thirty years ago. The development of derivatives markets is stimulated by an integration of capital markets, high growth of technological progress, high volatility of major markets determinants, such as currency, stocks, interest rates, etc.
