Research object. Investment relations in the financial sector of economy. Research purpose. Working out a theoretical and practical provision of financial investments administration that is aimed on expansion of the role of these investments in the institutional investors' activity. Research methods: dialectical, graphic, analysis and synthesis, statistical, economic and mathematical methods, system and comparative analysis. Theoretical and practical results. Well-founded scientific principles, conclusions and recommendations made improve the theory and practice of financial investments administration, have sufficient practical value for working out the investor's purposes, his strategy and tactics in the financial market, monitoring of financial investments portfolio. Novelty of the innovation. The important results have been got that show the contribution to problem elaboration and scientific novelty of the thesis: identity of the instruments of financial investment and financial market is proved forthe first time; author's interpretation of the notion "financial instruments" is motivated; multileveled scheme of institutional investors' assets allocation is proposed using the covariation method of market risks estimation Value-at-Risk (VaR); there improved: definition of the notion "financial investments"; methodical approaches to segmentation of financial market; algorithm of process of financial investments administration of institutional investors in general and including the peculiarities of each institute activity; there is worked out the system of financial instruments for institutional investors and the directions of financial investment activation in Ukraine. Level of adoption. Main conclusions based on the research results are used by the State commission on regulation of financial services markets of Ukraine (reference №20/814 of 12.02.04), State commission on securities and stock market (reference №27/7061 of 03.06.04), JSC "Ukrinbank" (reference №01/1228 of 28.05.04), in education process ofthe National Academy of State Tax Service of Ukraine (reference №1612/01-12 of 27.05.04) and Kyiv National University of Economics (reference of 06.04.04).
