Essay

The dissertation deals with issues of establishment and functioning of self-government institutes of the Armenian community in Lviv in XIV-XVIII centuries. It is specified that establishment of self-government institutes of the Armenian community in Lviv is directly connected with the Privilege of Kazymyr III of June 17, 1356 on presentation of the Magdeburg Law for Lviv. The self-government institutes consisted of Armenian court, Armenian stariyshyny and Armenian viyt that partly kept features of Armenia's self-government institutes. It is defined, that approval in 1519 by king Sygizmund I of the Armenian statute, was the method of external expression of rules of the old Armenian law. The Proceeding in Armenian court was implemented according to the "Procedure of courts and cases of the Armenian law".
