Yanishen I. Clinical and laboratory evaluation and foundation of a new Ukrainian impression alginate material Stomalgin-04.

The thesis describes clinical and laboratory evaluation of a new Ukrainian alginate impression material, grounds its application and determines its clinical and economic efficiency in manufacture of anatomic impressions in orthopaedic treatment. Basing on experimental investigation of clinical, technological, physical and mechanical properties of alginate impression materials, system of assessing their technological quality has been developed. Clinical and technological factors determining dimensional precision of casting models manufactured on the base of impressions made of alginate impression materials have been studied and system of assessing quality of dental impression considering its dimensional precision has been elaborated. As a result of clinical and statistical analyses, alternatives of clinical application of the new Ukrainian dust-free alginate material Stomalgin-04 in orthopaedic treatment have been grounded and its clinical and economic efficiency has been determined.
