Hasko O. The Word-Forming Structure and Parts-of-Speech Thesaurus of the Lexical-Semantic Field 'Strong - Weak' in the History of English.

The dissertation is concerned with the studies of word-formation and semantic organization of the synonymic series members, being the derivatives of the deadjectival origin, in the compiled lexical-semantic double-dominant field 'strong - weak' according to the part-of-speech parameter in the history of English. Indirect and implicitly expressed semantic correlations between the lexical units of the deep paradigmatic character have been revealed. Derivational relations of the word-forming system effected potential have been investigated. A computer-aided analysis of the compiled deadjectival thesaurus has been made taking into account certain parameters (i.e. derivational gaps, transpositional time, synonymic series primary density, hyponymic-hyperonymical shifts).
