/r/ phoneme allophones functioning in German newscasters speech during 1923-2003. The aim is to reveal the features of /r/ phoneme allophones in continuous speech. The methods are descriptive, quantitative and statistic. Deep approaches to the problems of general and applied phonetic, phonology, speech segmentology are suggested. The understanding of the specificity of allophonic variation of the /r/ phoneme enables the successful perception of authentic speech. The assimilative characteristics of consonant r-allophones in prevocalized position are investigated for the first time. The sphere of usage - higher school.
