3. The work is dedicated to studies of process of formation of blastholes by an intrusion of indentor in a bench coal for their further usage at management of stress - strained state of a face part of a bench coal. The analytical calculations determine dependences of ultimate stress limits of coals, taking place in a volume - state of stress, from arguments and mode of their loading. The laboratory and mine experiments set rational technical-technological parameters of the device for formation of blastholes in coals of a different stability. On the basis of analytical and experimental researches the requirement specification on prototype of the device for formation of blastholes in a face part of bench coals is designed.
