Zachepylo S. The features of the clinical course of the fungal etiology external otitis

The thesis is devoted to the inverstigation of the morphological structure of serumen glands, their changes as a result of aspergillous and candidiasis inflammation, the increased effectiveness of treatment of the patients suffening from mycotic external otitis in the presense of the fungous and bacterial associations. The hystochemical inrestigations proved that the serumen glands of the upper wall had the greatest number of acini and the highest level of the secretory activity, the lowest level of the secretoty activity was on the lower wall of the external acoustic meatus. It was established that the correlation between acinous and stromal structures was changed in elder adults, it resulted the going out of secretion into connective tissue and it might cause inflammation. The microbiological examination of 105 patients with otitis mycotica was performed, the flangous and bacterial flore was observed in 95% of the patients. The local use of the antimycotic drug Exyfin for treatment of the patients with the flangous and bacterial association produced good results.
