Kobits'kyj M. Treatment of patients with chronic simple rhinitis using non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug and immunomodulators

The dissertation work is devoted to issues of increasing the efficacy of treatment of patients with chronic simple rhinitis and is based on the results of examination and treatment of 100 patients with chronic simple rhinitis, 30 healthy individuals, as well as data of experimental studies conducted on 195 white rodents of the "Wistar" breed line. The studies that were conducted on intact, immunodefficient animals and rats with experimentally induced simple rhinitis demonstrated that the use of Er-espal for experimental treatment was most efficacious in combination with Polyoxidonium. Such the combined use resulted in restoration of both humoral and cellular immunities and in a faster normalization of the state of nasal cavity mucous membranes in animals with experimentally induced rhinitis. The conducted study of clinical and immunological efficacy of treatment of patients with chronic simple rhinitis using Erespal and Polyoxidonium dem-onstrated that the sum of positive clinical effects and their sustainability were exceeding those achieved with the use of Polydexa with Phenylephrin in patients with both chronic simple rhinitis and chronic simple rhinitis accompanied by other infectious and inflammatory pathologies. The use of Erespal in combina-tion with Polyoxidonium provided for a sustainable normalization of local and systemic immunity parameters in patients with chronic simple rhinitis.
