Dissertation analyses the notion of social adaptation of the persons, released from criminal-executive institutions on the grounds of the Law of the Ukraine on amnisty or the act of pardoning has been considered, there are investigated the legal grounds of social adaptation, the personality of the released from criminal - executive institations on the grounds of the Law of Ukraine on amnisty or the act of pardoning in the mechanism of social adaptation and postpenitenciary satisfaction of the process of social adaptation. There are stated the legal grounds and conditions of releasing from criminal-executive institutions on the grounds of the Law of Ukraine on amnisty or the act of pardoning, and also legal and social-psychological problems of improving exercising practice in the process of social adaptation.
