The Dissertation's research is dedicated to the examining of the scientific and methodical principles, trends and forms of the use of the information resources of the National Archival Fund of Ukraine in 1993-2004. The Dissertation examines evolution of scientific and methodical principles of using information resources of NAF. Furthermore the work identifies the organizational specifics of using archival information in state archival institutions, scientific libraries, museums etc. The Dissertation also scrutinizes a number of legislative acts, methodical guidelines of state archives pertaining to the given subject. Based on comparative analysis of the Ukrainian and foreign archives related legislation which regulates the issues of use of the archival information the Dissertation demonstrates that organization of legal and intellectual access to the archival information is comparable to the worldwide accepted tendencies. The Dissertation substantiates defining of major directions of use of NAF's information resources, it also classifies the needs of users. Finally, the Dissertation defines the possibilities for cooperation of state archives, museums and libraries in the field of use of NAF's information resources and provides extensive recommendations designed to improve use of the archival information.
