The subject is bases of existing buildings in the dense urban environment; the aim is to develop the method of analysis of foundations in the dense urban environment for preventing existing building damages that can be caused by a new construction; the methods are experimentally theoretical; novelty - in order to estimate how new buildings effects existing ones elastico-plastic plane strain numerical solution for bases in the dense urban environment was substantiated; the solution is based on soil properties that can be defined in laboratory test by means of standard methods; the research revealed effectiveness of design solutions of foundations and protective structures used in the dense urban environment; experimental researches proved that real and calculated settlements are similar; the results are accepted to be used by Poltava State Designing Institute "Miskbudproekt".
