Lebed L. N. V. Pigulevskaya - histori Bisentium

The object of the research is the development of the study of Byzantine in the 20s-60s of the XXth century. The goal of the research is to reconstruct the biography of N.V. Pigulevska as a historian of Byzantine, to point out the place and meaning of her scientific research in the study of Byzantine. Methods of research: historical, logical, historic-systematic, problem of chronology, historic biographic. Scientific novelty: in this paper the complete scientific biography of N.V. Pigulevska was researched in detail with the use of new archive resources; a complete bibliography of the scientist's works and the works about her life was presented; a great number of works by Pigulevska was studied and analyzed; for the first time the process of forming scientific views of the scientist was studied; the contribution of the scientist into the historiography was shown.
