Essay

Object of investigation is the the two-mode gas laser of continuous radiation. Тhe method of investigation is the synchronous registration and the computer-aided spectrum of modes analysis, orientation plane of polarization of modes, the spectrum frequency of intermode beats. The purpose is studing of the physics reason the instability frequency, polarization, intensity of the helium-neon gas lasers. Intercoupling between polarization and frequency characteristics of two-mode gas laser due to elongation of laser cavity in conditions of weak magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations was investigated. Intercoupling between polarization and frequency characteristics of two-mode gas laser due to elongation of laser cavity in conditions of weak magnetic fields and temperature fluctuations was investigated. It was found that in case of orthogonal modes polarization the spectral dependence of intermode beats frequency has discontinuity at appearance-disappearance of the modes on the circumference of amplification contour. The spectral dependency the rotation of the plane of polarization in homogeneous and inhomogeneous magnetic field for every polarization of orthogonal modes in amplification contour was investigated. It was determined that effective stabilization of gas laser radiation frequency is possible only due to external etalon utilization. Application domain - the lasers spectroscopy, the lasers technology.
