Essay

On the base of clinical, pathopsychological, neurophysiological investigations and on the base of visual and morphometric assessments of MRIs of 110 clean-up workers of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident and 30 patients of comparison group was revealed the structural-functional cerebral basis in remote period of exposure to ionizing radiation in doses 0,05-4,7 Sv. The decrease of contrast coefficient between left capsule internal and cerebral liquor system because of its hip anterior and genu (0,3-4,7 Sv) and the contrast coefficient between white matter of left parietal lobe and cerebral liquor system (1-4,7 Sv) are neuroimaging markers of ionizing radiation effect. The organic brain damage in clean-up workers of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident in remote period of exposure to ionizing radiation and in remote period of acute radiation sickness (ARS) is etiological heterogeneous as a result of age-related changes, cerebrovascular and somatic pathology, smoking and exposure to ionizingradiation in doses higher than 0,3 Sv.
