The method of the description of folding occurrence of the flat coal layers is developed in the dissertation, basing on use sedate approximating polynoms and distinguished by the additional account of the data of exploitation investigations occurrence and use of new procedure of defining an optimum degree of approximating polynoms is advanced. For the first time the criterion of an estimation of relief occurrence layer (tectonic pressure in a untouched containing thickness), describing size of the geometrical sum of the main curvatures in a considered point of hill is proved/ The essential interrelation of curvature of relief occurrence of a layer and mountain pressure proves is experimentally confirmed while conducting mountain works (increase of breeds contour displacement in excavations, The relative area of inrushes of breeds in long walls) local coincide witch gas dynamics phenomena to zones of high values of curvature of occurrence layers).
