Phosphonium reagents for heterocyclization. Investigation of phosphonium syntheses of new types substituted pyrimidines and their condensed analogues with biophoric groups. Chemical synthesis, IR- and PMR-spectroscopy. It was shown that substituted pyrimidines and their condensed analogues with biophoric groups, which often contain sulphur and phosphorus, can be easily prepared from accessible phosphonium reagents: triphenylphosphoranylidenacetonitrile, 2-benz-imidazolylmethyltriphenylphosphonium chloride and 1-cyano-2-(methylthio)ethenyl-triphenylphosphonium iodide. Of particular interest were phosphonium synthese of new 4-amino-6-mercapto- and 4,6-dimercaptopyrimidine derivatives. Effective antiseptics were revealed among the novel substituted pyrimidines.
