Cheshenko D. Complex differential diagnostics and the directions of raising the efficacy of treating pleuritis of tumor etiology.

The object of research - patients with pleural effusion of oncological and non-oncological character; the purpose of research - to develop methods for the complex differential diagnostics of pleural effusion and to raise the efficacy of treatment of pleuritis with tumor etiology; methods of examination and equipment - clinical, instrumental, laboratory research, liquid crystal thermography, thoracoscopy, cytologic and gystologic research of pleural effusion and pleural biopsy samples; theoretic and practical results - the developed algorithm of patient examination enables to increase the informativeness of pleural effusion differential diagnostics, at the same time avciding unnecessary invasion and reducing the period of examination; the developed methods of intra-pleural therapy has enabled to raise the efficacy of pleurodesis along with a considerable improvement of remote effects of palliative chemotherapy; novelty - for the first time the informativeness of complex application of thermography and thoracoscopy in differential diagnostics of pleural effusion was assessed, differential diagnostic thermogramme types and the methods of pleurodesis with the application of glutoxeme and doxycycline were developed; implementation: introduced at Zaporozhye, Melitopol, Berdyansk regional oncologic clinics; the sphere of application - medicine (oncology).
