Ieshchenko A. Functional state of the liver in children with the biliary tract dysfunction

The work is devoted to improvement of diagnosis of early disturbances of the functional state of the liver in children with the biliary tract dysfunction basing on the studies of bile production, biliary excretion, intrahepatic hemodynamics, lipid free-radical oxidation and antioxidant protection in the bile, participation of the liver in metabolic process. Disturbances of the functional state of the liver were revealed in 59±5% of patients, this frequently depended on the duration of hypokinetic dyskinesia of the biliary tract. The leading role of the hypokinetic form of the biliary tract dysfunction, distur-bance of intrahepatic hemodynamics in the small and medium-sized vessels and inten-sification of free-radical lipid peroxidation in formation of the early disturbances of the liver function was shown. The protocol of differential diagnosis of the disturbed or pre-served functional condition of the liver in children with hypokinetic dysfunction of the biliary tract was substantiated basing on calculation of diagnostic coefficients of infor-mative values.
