Savran V. Radical treatment of the Breast Cancer: surgical technique and postoperative wound carrying.

Object of study: patients with breast cancer; objective: to improve the effectiveness of treatment; methods - long-term results of the treatment depending on the extent of radical surgery, USG of the wound; novelty - substantiated decrease in the extent of mastectomy due to preservation of both pectoral muscles, use of USG for the diagnosis of wound complications, development and implementation into practice of non-drainage method of wound management after radical breast surgery; results - the number of metastatically involved regional lymph nodes has a decisive influence on survival, not the extent of mastectomy. USG of the wound allows to determine the location of the seroma, aspirate its content, and abandoning the use of drains lowers the rate of wound complications; speciality - oncology.
